Haibo Bi

Haibo Bi is a visiting scholar from the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS), Qingdao, China and is working with Jinlun Zhang. His collaborative endeavor while visiting is a project related to remote sensing in combination with modeling of polar sea ice and change under the warming climate. A research assistant for Haijun Huang, in the Key Laboratory of Marine Geology and Environment, Haibo’s main research interests are the investigation of Arctic sea ice kinetics and sea ice mass balance, using remote sensing tools. He became acquainted with PSC’s expertise on Arctic sea ice changes mainly through the internet and published papers.
Recognizing the great potential of integration between PIOMAS modelling results and new remote sensing observations, Haibo hopes to establish a fruitful working relationship between IOCAS and PSC.
